Signs Your Thermostat Needs Repair or Replacement
Blank or Unresponsive Display
A screen that won’t light up or respond to touch usually points to a wiring or power issue, not just a dead battery.
Won’t Respond to Settings
If heating or cooling won’t trigger at your set temperature, the thermostat may be failing to communicate with the equipment.
Inaccurate Temperature Readings
A thermostat reading several degrees off from the actual room temperature can run your system longer than needed.
Wi-Fi Thermostat Losing Connection
Frequent app disconnects usually point to firmware, network, or wiring issues needing onsite diagnosis.
System Short Cycling
A thermostat sending bad signals can cause the AC or heater to turn on and off in short bursts.
Old Dial or Manual Thermostat
Manual thermostats lack scheduling and run less efficiently than programmable or smart models.

Frequently Asked Questions for Thermostat Repair & Installation
How much does thermostat repair or replacement cost?
A remount or reconnection runs $105. A basic replacement runs $285, a programmable model runs $638, and a smart Wi-Fi thermostat runs $800 to $1,500 depending on the model.
Does a new thermostat come with a warranty?
The manufacturer’s equipment warranty applies to the thermostat itself. Our 2-year labor warranty covers full HVAC, AC, or heater installations, not standalone thermostat work.
Is a smart thermostat worth the extra cost over a basic one?
A smart Wi-Fi thermostat costs more upfront but adds app-based scheduling and remote control, which a basic or programmable model doesn’t offer. It comes down to whether that control is worth the difference to you.
Why isn’t my AC or heater responding to my thermostat?
This usually points to a wiring issue, a compatibility mismatch between the thermostat and your system, or a failing thermostat itself. A technician checks all three during the onsite visit.
